DESCRIPTION:Kent McAdoo Memorial Wild Game Feed (Men & Boys): This event will begin at 6:00pm at the Western Folklife Center in Elko at 501 Railroad Street.  There is a $10 suggested donation at the door. This year’s guest speaker will be Dave Johnson\, who spent over 40 decades in senior leadership at Church of the Open Door in Crystal\, Minnesota.  He is a devoted follower of Jesus having navigated the Christian life with all of its complexities and demands.  Managing expectations- and not always meeting them.  Maintaining his faith- and not always feeling it.  But his years in ministry\, as a leader\, teacher\, preacher\, author\, and mentor have been\, and continue to be\, marked by his impact.  Upon retirement… Having experienced what it takes to stay in it for the long haul\, he’s moved into a new type of ministry; helping others stay in it for the long haul in order to build Things That Remain.  If you wish to get more information and/or help provide a wild game or fish dish for this event\, please contact the Calvary Baptist office at 775-738-6840. \n \n
